I've always thought that when mergers do happen, that the GMs of the guild merging into the bigger guild should be automatically given GM status in the merged guild. It is only fair and right and shows that the leaders of the larger guild have faith in the smaller guild. After all, would the GMs of the larger guild be willing to be less than GMs themselves if it were the other way around? It's all too easy for the larger guild to make the rules.

FS doesnt have any rules. Just show respect to everyone then i'm happy.
We've got two guilds merging with us atm. The GM's all got rank1.

True I do agree with Gandelf here, if several guild or 2 guld merges I think that those who have been GM's should still be so after the merge.

If trust aint enough for that, then the guilds shouldent be merged atall imo.

understand where you're coming from

If those guys want to be GM then that has to be discussed. The GM's that joined Fallen i trust with all my heart so trust isnt an issue here. What is an issue is the fact that i have long standing members with /o rank and i dont think it would be fair on them to see someone else get GM rank before any of them.

Well this is really something to be discussed before the merge imo ;D if all are fine with this then there aint a problem

one of them didnt even want to be an /o rank i had to put him on it anyway cos I thought that was only fair. But then again this is something that has to be discussed with the ppl involved isnt it

Don't think our guild would merge with anyone else really, we don't have to many members, but just about what we need, also we more or less only RvR.

And if somone would do something that I don't like ingame I can always go and kick their arses IRL as most are IRL mates =P

merging isnt for everyone like beli said. And this thread isnt made to get all the guilds to join Fallen either. There are still bigger guilds out there who might concider taking in smaller guilds. This is just a way to say that we are open for the idea.

yeah, is probably a very good way of keeping the game more fun for many also, it's okay for us as we can more or less always reach eachother by phone or whatever to plan in RvRing or whatever.

Merging with guilds who wants so is probably a good way of keeping the game alive longer, because you only play while it's fun, and it aint to fun being almost solo in a guild, and you do need a guild if you don't have a rep of being really good on RvR or whetever ofcourse, because very few will invite you to groups otherwise.
