That's why a French sever would have been a good idea, then we would not have all of that Anglo-French "racist" chat all the time!

I can understand if you get anoyed on the french people telling the english speaking to speak french, but not the other way around. And its nothing to do with racism imo, its just common sense that you speak ENGLISH on an ENGLISH server..atleast when your in the beginners guild. If your having a private conversation or your own guild - now thats something else.

..I should mention that I do agree that we could need a french server (well, THEY could need one..not me) but you really should calm down Gandalph

Leave the startup-guild, turn off broadcast-chat. Everyone PM'ing you put immediatly on ignore.

Serious now, when I make a character, first thing I do is leave the starter-guild, its for... starters.

guys the server is going to be busy and as goa didnt do a french classic server then expect the servers to be french heavy. Ive formed a guild now on albion called death jesters and the rule is english in guild chat.

Other than that anyone can join, however if your really finding the guild chat in the starter guild anoying because you dont understand reading dont compound the problem by saying "OMG DONT SPEAK FRENCH ENGLISH SERVER !!!!" its a bit sad, if you dont like it then leave the noobie guild or just ignore it.

The french are hear to stay on the classic servers eventually im sure they will form into french alliances and english alliances (and alliances for all those weird people like ankh

)

accept it because im not going to go onto the internal forums and state "folks are whining because they dont understand french" deal with it now peeps its here to stay.

the whineing is bad
think i lasted about 5mins before i quit - best to use puppets idea tbh.

One thing i was interested in was from a french guy. He said he was going to speak french as he was naffed off it was classed as an english server so apparently the french DID want a classic server however as someone has wrote before (in jest but prolly truth) it would kill the main servers. Camlann decreased the population of the pryd/excal and other servers so if you had a french classic server as well then would just decrease even more.

Bit hard on the French to ask them not to speak their own language. They are not talking to you, so why not mind your own business I reckon.

If I went to France and was minding my own business having a chat in English in a supermarket and some French bloke came up and asked me to speak French or bugger off back to England, I'd wonder what it had got to do with him, since I wasn't addressing him. Not like he owns France and it's not like the English players have any more right to be on the English server than French players. Everyone who pays subs can choose what server they prefer to play on and speak whatever language they like as long as it's not abusive.

Just quit whining and enjoy the server is pretty full you can actually see what the game was meant to be its just a shame that excalibur and prydwen arnt the same ;(

One point tho' - english being the language of the server means you're supposed to speak it in public channels or just the txt descriptions are in english?

Aye, logged in. Started in tutorial town (which was shockingly impressive). Looking at my guild chat and was like wtf o_O. /gc quit and the game closed. Went back in, game closed again. QQ'd a bit. Logged back in worked for a bit and got to 5. Went into catacombs inconnu place and the game crashed constantly. >.<. Luckily new graphics card inc tomorrow!

More relative to the 'French-English' chat just get used to it, it doesn't really bother me at all I just ignore it on broad and with instances you don't really group with anyone at low levels and once you get slightly higher your bound to find some english people. This could infact bring people together more and help you make some friends.
