same with me then logged and ....then i called my friend wich said doac is so über and said 'what a crap game is this?' , my friend spent i think 4-5 hours teaching me the main game mechaniks

I remember parts of my very first day playing DAoC. I was exping nicely.. and after a while I managed to get my first char - an *elf* enchanter named Amedor to level 3. I met Almas (my RL friend), and I think Porkepine.. who led me to the Capital - Tir na Nog.. and being my first visit there - I got lost

. I was searching for Anwar.. the enchanter trainer (not knowing you couldn't get to the enchanter class until level 5) and it took me a good deal of half an hour to find him.. with both Almas's and Porkepines help.

Almas then gave me 100gold to get started... so I could buy cloth armour from the NPCs and staves.. and I remember buying the most expensive staff on the NPC.. the ~32g one.. which was completely useless

. This was before I understood the concepts of grey-purple colouring :x.

I also remember exping around in the Hibernian Oldlands.. with the Lough Wolf Cadgers.. and Blackthorns. Almas messaged me saying that I shouldn't kill too many of the Lucradons so I wouldn't get bad faction

. He said that if I killed too many that a whole zerg of them would chase me from one end of the realm to the other.

I also remember quite a few more things - like when Almy used to PL me a few levels down at Coruscuting mines pit.. at the lodestones and weeweres. I still even remember the crack bug in the wall down there

Still remember being dragged across god knows where by the original Gyneth to form Knights of Mayhem - my ranger was a mighty lvl 7 at that point. Must have been about a 2 weeks after go live.

That and Mayhem truely living up to it's name at parth farm. Corwynn & me tanking while Rainbow, Gyn & Zippy nuked down all that we pulled.... usually not too well iirc. That was before we even knew what healers were, we just sat around waiting for health, mana & end to regen between pulls & chatted about god knows what.

Corwynn & I duo'd all over classic. Wasn't much call for rangers or full sword & board heros in groups when everyone worked out what the best classes for lvling were. If it wasn't for Cor I'd have probably quit the game years ago in frustration (I hardly touch my ranger now so not really doing Cor justice - maybe I should drag it out for a run or two).

omg amedor someone told me that to about lucradons, i remember whenever running about looking over my shoulder when i saw any thinking id get chased

I remember taking 4hrs to get to level 5, and when there was a list for the phooka's in CF

Are you sure i didn't say sheeroe? I remember one time i was just outside TNN MM exit and someone came running up to me yelling for help.. I wondered what was going on then saw 20-30 sheeroe appear from every direction and mob them. Almas has still never touched one ;>

I also remember hitting 400 AC at level 6, thanks to guild help from knights of mayhem. Was running round with an emblem and loads of other low level people asking how i got it =). And being in bloodoath with Venoid where he somehow convinced me to keep ACing...

remember walking out of prydwen keep with my first ever character - Dastardly Fiendish the Armsman , walked around bashing on some pigs for a while when i decided i was obviously strong enough to kill a purple red adder. - deleted him when he was level 16 and came to hib/pry.
