Thank you for contacting customer service. The below diagram explains the process after the expiration of a domain.

The domain expires --> 0 to 45 days later the Registrar releases the domain to the Registry --> The domain is held for 30 days by the Registry (Redemption Period) --> The domain takes 5 days to be released --> The domain is available for new registration

A domain is not immediately available after the expiration date. It will take at least 35 to 85 days after the expiration date before Domain Alert Pro will be able to attempt to register the domain on your behalf. Until that time, the domain is not available as a new registration.

One option (as a temporary solution) might be to get a different but similar name and use that until the other one is obtained.

For example, the following are free

newprydwen.net
hibbies.net
hibcentral.net
prydcentral.net

prydwen.co.uk
prydwen.ie ( EUR 70 a year ... guess no market competition :) )

I am sure others can come up with more. Ideally, it should be as easy to remember as prydwen.net was. Atm, the site's URL isn't that easy to remember (or tell someone).

Could do a poll on them (after asking if others want to suggest names :) ).
