At a point in time, DAoC GoA forums did exist, but since 90% of the posts were just GoA bashing, they removed the forum from the page. Not really a good way of advertising a game, having angry posts on the official site.

Secondly, the reason why Requiel posts on community forums is, according to the GMs, because it's very hard to get a message up on the frontpage. It has to go through alot of red tape before it's posted. Once again, because it is the official website for the game. The US manages it better because Sanya is given free reign over her frontpage.
Merely a guess though, the majority of the people would prefer news (IE it's being worked on) to no news.

A bit off topic but....

The legal position in the UK is that you only have to pay for what you consider the food to be worth. Your position is weakened however if you tell them that you are happy with your meal before payment (which is why you get asked if everything is ok at pretty much any restaurant you dine in). It is not a criminal matter if you pay less for the food than the listed price, you could however find yourself in a civil dispute in the small claims court.

If the meal is not delivered in a reasonable time you are perfectly within your rights to leave without payment of any sort (except for any drinks youve guzzled).

Have to agree with Ankh here on this.

Req, has always been decent, he releases all he can to us , trys to keep us informed , but this can't always been done.

I for one hope he comes back .

It's GoA we have the problem with not Req.
Yes i dont' like having to Deal with GoA as a whole , When the servers are up i very rarley get Lagg anymore. However I don't like dealing with GoA because of how i have been delt with in the past.

1 incident ended up being resolved by a GM ( Req's Prediciesior i fink ( i know my spelling s00ks) ) . Right now kept coming back with a default responce . I was asking a question and it was telling me if i had any problems to ask .. this was like a logic loop. So instead of taking say 2 weeks to sort ( that's me being very generous) it took 9 weeks to sort. I was particaly to blame i do accept that. However having to deal with "Just" a automated system is extremely Annoying. I've had several other incidencets and my faith in the system is gone ... but try not to let that transfer over to the GM's. if i where to have a issue with one of the GM's i would of course speak to the them about it.

Anyway .. enough of my rabbiting on ...

Indeed, but isn't the fundamental problem that GOA are remote and unresponsive. The RightNow system (a mis-named service if ever there was one) deliberately keeps the customer at arms length, is inflexible, has a propensity to delivering canned responses and side-stepping problems. GOA operate no official forums where customers can communicate and discuss issues with them (Mythic don't either of course, but that's no reason GOA shouldn't). There's also no in-game GMs like those on the US Servers (yes I know there's GMs present but they're not openly available as on the US servers). When a company hides away from it's customers to the extent GOA does, it's not hard to see how someone like Requiel can become the focus of customer complaints.

But that's the problem , Req, shouldn't be our focus, plain and simple.

If we do have a problem , we have only a few options .. none of which i would take myself , I'll put up with the crappy service for another while yet , as DaoC is a Game i truely Love to play , and also everyone here is usualy Very nice :satyn1:

I dont think anyone has been Requiel bashing at all tbh... GOA bashing yes... and thats allowed as its not personal... but Requiel took the GOA bashing to heart... which he shouldnt... especially as he doesnt get paid enough to take it personally! (another reason why I wont have a go at Req but I will have a go at GOA)

actually, the answers are pretty much Right - Now, it's just that most of the answers don't really help solve the problem

edit: Yeah I know it doesnt say that it HAVE to included those zones..but it does say its a part of it. So technically it should be included on every normal server.

CoC is like prenuptial agreement. When one of the partners is starting to quote it, relations are already screwed up

As for manual - it says rangers are caster killers on the field - so we better not start asking for things we read in the manual, or this will be a never ending story

I couldn't agree more. If the best thing people can say about GOA is "they stick to the letter of the manual" or "who cares, it's only £2 a week" then that's pretty damning of their offering.

I'd think anyone who owned a service of any kind would be aiming for customers who defend them with things more like "They do a damn good job" or "It's one of the best services you'll see in this industry".

Seems like people are saying we're at the bottom of the barrel, but that's okay cos if you suck really hard you can still taste beer.

True, but as RvR is one of the things Mythic use when they advertise about this game It's still not the same thing. Besides, rangers ARE caster killers on the field
