This is a particularly good point, and in my opinion is what make the difference between DAoC 2-3 years ago, and DAoC now.

2-3 years ago there were plenty of people in both categories, those with good reactions but random targetting, and those with good targetting but slower reactions. Now there are too many people with Good Reactions and Good Targetting for the people with slower reactions to compensate with the better targetting.

good thing in wow you don't have stick, but bad thing is you can see target class, which imo sucks, they could remove it and this way force ppl to actually think a bit more b4 engaging the fight

Heh too true. I've always fallen into the 'slow reactions, better targetting' category - but it doesn't tend to cut it these days when everyone seems to have good reactions AND good targeting, even in Thidranki! Guess it's because everyone still playing has mostly been playing for a long time now.

When I last RvR'd intensively (pre Cata) my class identification, target selection and reading of a battle was fine. But the last couple of times I've tried returning to the game (on both US and EU servers) I found it hard to get back into things. So much has changed in terms realm/ML abilities, styles and gear, it's a bit like learning over again. Addded to that, the DAOC control system feels very clunky compared to more recent games (not just WoW). Obviously things improve with practise, but the Daoc learning curve is quite a steep one nowadays with all the things added to the game. Must be harder than ever for true noobs to get up to speed. Or maybe I'm just over the hill [no comments necessary] :D

As for /stick and /assist they do take lots of skill out of the game. Shouldn't be able to /stick to an enemy and /assist just makes for lazy tactics. Fights would be a lot more fun with the more randomness that would be introduced if these commands didn't exist.
