I suppose its the same as answering everything is perfect, as there isn't an option for that.Satyn wrote:sorry but i find it stupid to click on the 'i dont wish to answer this poll'. Why on earth wouldnt you want to answer it? It takes less than a minute to read the question and the options given and you might actually get something good in return.

The only time I haven't made a choice is when the last option was 'none of the above' because they were only offering to do stupid stuff like create more territory.

Because there may not be the option you want or the poll maybe shitty.
When they did a poll about what we'd most like to see in the next expansion they listed things like:
- New items
- New classes
- New areas to explorer
- Tradeskill improvements
- Extra RvR tasks
I personally wanted new classes but ONLY if Mythic would promise they were a) Balanced with existing classes and b) Balanced between realms so that we don't have a repeat of savages/bonedancers/warlocks/bainshees/animists etc. Because I couldn't add this in I chose not to answer because none of the polls fitted what I actually wanted. By answering I don't wish to answer this poll it tells Mythic that the poll is badly designed and doesn't give the choices that people actually want. I simply wasn't willing to just settle for selecting new classes knowing full well we'd end up with one realm being totally overpowered and impossible to compete with on an equal basis for another 6months ro 2 years whilst Mythic accept they fucked up balance royally and nerf classes as needed. Bainshees for example survived an entire year of being obscenely overpowered and that's much too long for a fix for a class that completely destroys RvR balance (Note the use of RvR, I realise they didn't break 8vs8 too much).

Considering you were talking about RvR I really have to ask why you include Animists in your list of overpowered classes. On the extremely rare occasion I ever see an Animist in RvR it's usually some poor new L50 Ani who (a) is solo cos no-one wants him/her in a group, & (b) you usually see him/her once & once only in RvR (with the exception of a static defence, & even then most people will prefer to play one of their other chars) for reasons which are well documented & most Anis will know only too well after their first attempts at RvR.Xest wrote:I personally wanted new classes but ONLY if Mythic would promise they were a) Balanced with existing classes and b) Balanced between realms so that we don't have a repeat of savages/bonedancers/warlocks/bainshees/animists etc.
Even for the majority of PvE farming I'd guess most people would prefer a mana chanter or even a light ment except for specific situations.

hmmmm if they wanted to please everyone they would need a poll with a huge amount of possibilities... sometimes they really cant win not even if they tryXest wrote:Because there may not be the option you want or the poll maybe shitty.

Well apart from the fact you took what I said completely out of context, I was referring to Bainshees when I made the RvR comment not all the others I listed, after all Savages were outright negligible in terms of RvR balance. That said Animists do largely fit into that same category - extremely overpowered in static RvR (keeps, seige, open field stand offs, bridges etc.) they just don't have quite so good on the move useage as bainshees.OohhoO wrote:Considering you were talking about RvR I really have to ask why you include Animists in your list of overpowered classes. I can't be bothered to get into a debate about animists but I was the first animist on pryd and the 3rd to hit 50, it was also the first class I rolled on US whilst I was waiting for ToA to come out to roll a shar so I've been playing them about as long as anyone to know their flaws and strengths, like bainshees they're also an extremely polished class in terms of coolness.

Exactly, but at least by seeing how many don't answer the poll they can tell if they've got their poll completely and utterly wrong. If 99% put that they don't want to answer it's obvious that all the poll options were worthless, if only 0.00001% say they don't wish to answer the poll then it's not so bad and it's obvious they mostly asked the right questions.

Well let's face it ... hardly anybody with multiple L50s usually chooses to dust off their animist except for an increasingly small number of specific situations ... Relic defences, ML10 + dragon raids etc, & the steadily decreasing number of arte encounters for which anis are still useful (lots have been specifically ani-nerfed). The number of active high-RR Anis is oh so overwhelming =/. There are good reasons for that.Xest wrote:Well apart from the fact you took what I said completely out of context, I was referring to Bainshees when I made the RvR comment not all the others I listed, after all Savages were outright negligible in terms of RvR balance.
