interesting link for catacombs

Yeah, DLGamer is set as an official partner it seems, and I just got 3 copies from there, and I'm now ingame within 15 minutes of clicking the 'confirm' button

OFC, I had client patched and ready since beta, so I sorta cheated that way hehe

I would recommend downloading the entire client, but if you are really desperate to get ingame as soon as possible, you can just patch your TOA folder to a Catacombs one, simply by opening the update.dat file in your TOA folder, and on line 2 and 3 where it says the word 'atlantis', change that to 'catacombs' so that it reads like this:

Mythic Patch
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/catacombs/mpatch.dat
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/catacombs/mpatch.dat

If you are copying + pasting the above, make sure there is no spaces at the end of each line, otherwise it might not work!!!

This way it's approx a 900mb patch, but I'd still get the actual .exe download as well incase you need to re-install.

gave up with the incredibly slow download, and did the change dat thingy after copying my toa folder 55% dowmloaded now a 130kbs

Wtf?? Grrr

edit: some excuse about adding extra d/l servers blah blah as they're not happy about the dl speed people are getting. Well they are getting some angry emails from me, that's for sure...especially since I did not get the pre-order message until I had confirmed payment...

and another thing...wtf is this 1970 bs...?

This crap is useless, 5kb/s !!!! 3 days for part1 ???

And the patch only goes at 25kb/s...

Weird, Im doing as Usp suggested, and I'm getting good download speed from the patcher...

Don't shout at DLGamer, they are doing what they can to sort the problem out.
They have been swamped by demand and are trying to get additional download servers sorted out.

As the man from DLGamer posted, while they sort out this additional capacity, they've put Catacombs onto 'preorder' status so that when the service is available again, everyone who 'preordered' it will get an email telling them how to continue with their purchase. He is expecting the service to resume later this afternoon with a decent download speed.

His posts are here (already linked to on this forum in this thread).

Frankly the attitude here amazes me. Within 24 hours of us contacting him and arranging a contract, he's set up a short notice webshop, organised all the relevant licences, file downloads and put up an English site for us (normally they are a French only site) in no time at all. And when the service gets swamped and he takes immediate action to sort it out all the while taking the time to keep people informed as to what's going on , you are sending him 'some angry emails'? Seriously, have a word with yourself.

i think he's done an excellent job, yeah.

i can understand some frustration in people, after being repeatedly told that they would have the game today (in other words obviously) and then the 'stocking' companies letting everyone down.
i know this isnt goa's fault, so dont think im goa bashing. i think goa have done an excellent job getting so much sorted out fast when a major problem occured 2 days before official release.

however, there are still many frustrated customers that feel they are being 'ignored' because they do not have a visa or mastercard.
yes im one of them, no, i dont need a download, just a key.
in the several threads ive posted in, there hasn't even been an acknowledgement of this, except for a few people saying they are in the same situation.
