The only way to reduce the prices is to flood the market (or at least increase supply). Say there are 3 of an item available and 10 people want it, the 10 people will pay

The price will naturally become 18p as that is the price where supply = demand. If you sell at 10p, then either someone gets a bargin or more likely, someone buys low and sells high. Also, this anger directed at farmers is inconsistant with wanting lower prices. Farmers don't cause high prices, they actually increase supply, which drops prices. It is Mythic's low spawn rate policy that is the cause of the high prices. Also, inflation where money is to easy to get. Remember 10p this year is not the same as 10p was last year or the year before.

I think I single handedly brought the price of a particular scroll down from 5p to less than 500g just by putting several on my CM at the same time. Most people check the ME for prices when they put new scrolls on and some even reduce price when they don't sell for a while.

Issue is for some you need to earn some cash to pay for SC or items to fill templates so while you are selling cheap you are not raising cash to buy the stuff you want.

I respect anyone who tries to keep prices low and make items more available for all, new people or even those who have limited on line time should not suffer as much as I think they have to at times.

Tbh, that is more an example than maths. The point is that people still blame the sellers when it is fundamental that if there is 3 items, then only 3 people can be happy.

I'm trying to keep the lowest prices of all just to get all my junk sold

so all my stuff on my CM is the lowest price when I put it on hehe, but some ppl are more greedy than others, and some ppl are hard to convinse to sell there stuff cheaper, but it will always be like that, greed will always be there, but so far I can only say I'm suprised about hib/pryd how kind most ppl are when u wanna buy something from them and PM them if u don't have the money for the item on the CM

I even got a Cloak of the Zephyr a bit after I started on prydwen for free !

unfortuantely, if people are willing to pay, the peeps will just keep putting certain items on there at silly prices!

mythic could put a cap on what anyone could sell an item for. also won't stop u trading the old way b4 cm's and getting more plat for it.
