Okay, here's what you do, Xesty my old mate.

1) Go to my first post in this thread. What does it tell you about what I wanted to discuss here? It was not an attempt to complain about animists. It was actually because I am returning to the game after a break, and I've been considering resurrecting "The A Team" (our old animist group). The discussion went where it went after that point, as forum threads do.

2) Go to my suggestions about how I would like to see animists changed. Look at the bit where I suggest nerfing the siege side at the same time. I'd say that constitutes a willingness to discuss nerfs, wouldn't you?

I don't really see where you are coming from on the "nerfs must come first" point. Why is it not possible to examine a class, see how it could be changed to benefit the entire game (animists and non-animists alike) and make changes accordingly?

And I recommended some boosts also so I think for the most part we agree! :p

Oh come on, surely you know Mythic after 5 years ;) ? Sorting it all out at once would be ideal as I say but Mythic afaik have never once done that, it's always been nerfs or boosts and not really ever both. The reason I say you can't boost first in the case of animists is that as mentioned they already have a major effect on the game, any upwards boost would undoubtedly make them immensly popular as the class and the game would be outright unplayable for Mid/Alb - from a Hibs perspective, could you imagine if they boosted Sorcs, Warlocks or Bonedancers? - the game would be absolutely horrible.

I agree, past experience of Mythic would suggest they don't sort classes out in one go, but they really should and I can't see what would stop them here. Given that changes to classes would optimistically be 6 months apart if delivered separately, you've got 2 bad situations there: nerfs first, you get an animist class still crap at roaming and no longer much cop at siege. People like me who only really play their ani are then screwed for 6 months; boosts first, you get Dark Age of Shroomalot.

Anyway, it's all fantasy - if Mythic EVER do anything positive for animists, I'll eat my copy of DAoC, the box it came in and the computer I installed it on. And it's a fat Dell nextgen XPS, so that's no mean feat.

So the last 6 pages of threads consist of everyone agreeing...

Ani's are OP is seiges
Ani's need adjusting to reflect this and the fact they are under-done in terms of roaming.
Other classes also have issues, some good, some bad, some very situational.

All we may differ about is degrees and levels of OP'dness, underpd'ness and general pd'ness and which order we pd' in.
