This piece of news deals as expected with version 1.83 which is confirmed for release on Thursday, the 8th of June 2006 and so we will make a quick review of its contents. People who have the necyomancer artefact can find information about the 10th recipe that appeared last week and the background piece will enable you to better understand the Badge of Valor Realm ability of Hibernian champions.

Release of version 1.83 on the 8th of June
Testing is now complete and the date that was announced to you, the 8th of June, is thus confirmed. More detailed information about this day will be given to you the day before. As usual the servers will be shut down in the morning and reopened by the end of the day. If you had downloaded the files that were available last week, you will be able to connect quickly by installing these files just before connecting to the game and running the update for the few remaining Mb.

The release notes are still in the Test version page of the website and we strongly recommend people who play the classes that have been modified (Wizards, Valkyries, Paladins, Valewalkers, Clerics, Healers and Druids) to read them, especially because you will have to go and see your trainer to respecialize yourself.

Here is a short list of the main items introduced with this version : - Significant enhancement have been brought to hybrid classes : Valkyries, Paladins and Valewalkers and to main healing classes : Clerics, Healers and Druids. Other classes also benefit from significant changes.
- New content appears under the waters of the classic Realms for it is now possible to dive, visit the marine depths, the lakes and rivers and to meet their inhabitants… On the surface, it is now possible to take a boat. Midgard is the first Realm to benefit from these additions.
- Leirvik has been revamped (see the Reporter of the 19th of May).
- It is possible to find tools to create campfires that enable the characters to recover more quickly when out of the frontier zones.
- It is now possible for guilds to change their emblem as much as they wish for 100 gold per change.
- Armor tables have been adjusted so that no armor will be more than 5% vulnerable to any given type of damage. All armor tables will however retain resistances they currently have (this includes 10% resistances).
- Enchanters, Druids and Bonedancers can now choose the pet they want to accompany them.
- Artwork has been updated on numerous structures throughout the world.
- All dungeons now have mini-maps associated with them.
- New pets have been added as Trifecta rewards.
- Region announcements to each of the 'Circle of 5' bosses have been added. These are set to 2000 units around the spawn of the monster. This is to help identify that you should be within 2000 units of the boss when the boss is defeated in order to receive credit for the encounter.
- Hasteners have been added to all levels of the Battlegrounds.

About spells with an area of effect and keeps
We regularly receive complaints about the use of some area of effect spells (PBAoE and CAoE) through walls and doors. In order to clarify the situation regarding this kind of abuse, we want to inform you about a change in our sanctions system.
Now, during a tower or keep attack/defence, if a player exploits this kind of bug to hit a player without line of sight, he can be sanctioned whether he is inside or outside.

Wish they could find away to warn off and stop lag casters...Amazing how many times Ive been hit when the target is out of range, thats with a +10% range bonus (>2300 units).

Sometimes I think it would almost be worth the performance hit to run fraps, just to be able to reduce the alb numbers permanently.
