Why exactly does it mean I should behave any differently? It's not like I abuse mod powers to my advantage in those situations (although the old Cyfr situation was admittedly contraversal, it was still justified as a temp ban - Cyfr coolled down and now he's back - it worked out). The only time your comment holds true is if mod powers are being used to back up insults, for example if I were to then ban the people I was referring to with my comment. It's not my problem if people aren't able to comprehend that I'm capable of doing the moderation job in an entirely seperate frame of mind from when I post, which I am.Ovi wrote:Being a mod puts you in a position of responsibility. Whilst I respect that you have every right to voice your opinions, as a mod you need to be more careful about getting personal and the way you voice your opinions. If you don't want to be given grief for making "throw away comments", then don't be a Mod.
Taking into account the fact that I'm capable of seperating moderation from posting, if it's decided that I'm banned for my comment then we need to ensure that Mailimber and everyone else posting personal attacks here is also banned for an equivalent period of time, otherwise this whole idea is totally flawed and filled with bias and personal hate.
