Obvious they dont have spare server machine too.

if you had read what req said yesterday you would know that we are getting an update today and probably an ETA and maybe an insight into compensation. so quit whining - it was obviously a problem that couldnt be fixed quicker otherwise i think maybe they would have (i was a bit pissed they obviously didnt work at the weekend when they said they would, but they have lives as well)

I think when working in IT business, unexpected weekend work is something you have to take into account.

Look, if one our server would be off for 9 days (i mean my companies), our customers would eat us alive - and i have to understand them. Say what you want, defend them how you want, but being unable to fix a server in more then a week is pointing out some probelms.
It is obvius they could fix that problem faster, if they had more people to fix the corrupted records. Less people = slower fxing. If they had spared server, they could put the OS and the needed stuff up fast, populating the database, doing checks and voila, there is your server.
Anyway, if i pay for something, i want to use it when i want. I can understand 1-2 days, but i dont _have_ to understand that long downtime.
I dont care on compensating anyway.

that and all nighters from time to time... mind you the last one of them I pulled I did have a bottle of irish whiskey to keep me company.... nerf slow restore times of DLT's.. but then that was a couple of years ago
