Raid leaders claiming loot discussion -- split from Rowennas Ml rush
I don't think most people mind remains or an item being claimed, provided it's announced in advance. If the rules are clearly posted, then it's up to each person to decide if they can live with them and either go on the raid or not.
What I think most people dislike is when rules aren't clear - for instance when there's no mention of scrolls in the posting and then people find out at the end of the raid that the leader will be keeping them all. If a leader can't be asked to split something, it should go to autosplit, but it they intend to keep them, that should be made clear before the raid starts. If people don't like it, they can go on another raid.
What's worse though is when raid leaders announce what will or won't be split at the end after the raid is finished. I was on a raid where the leader announced at the end that he was claiming both remains and a Star of Destiny that dropped, much to the surprise of everyone else on the raid since no one could remember any mention of that in the rules before the raid started.

I've always belived in FFA lotto tbh.
Alot of raids drop items that one class can't at all lotto for (ML 3 i ran for example - no studded, no leather) so the people who use leather/studded deserve a crack at winning something that they can sell to buy some leather/studded...
...and that it makes the lottoing a whole lot easier.

Nope, democracy would be that we all have a vote and if 50% + say raid leaders can't claim, then they can't. Following the vote the number of raids would drop and the raid leaders would be called selfish by everyone and there would be a new vote ordering more raids to happen .

Ive tried several differant types of loot split rules, some work better then others.
If someone is making the effort to lead and organise and have stated the rules then it is up to you if you want to join.
If you join then you should abide by the rules that have been set.
the important thing is that the rules are clearly stated in the sign up and before the raid starts.
Even then you will probably still get hassle.

It used to be the case that classes could only roll for drops their class could use. In many ways, I still prefer that system. The way the player economy is now means that unless you have a lot of cash and/or the help of some good friends, you may never have access to the very best drops or artifacts.
I accept that using this system, people will have to bring the classes they wish to roll for, meaning a lop-sided raid class wise.
I don't know what the answer is realistically. I know it really annoys me seeing a drop or artifact I wanted sitting on someone else's CM, but if you have no luck with the roll then that's the way it is.
As to raid leaders claiming drops, that's a grey area for me. They ought to be rewarded for leading a raid, but I am not 100% certain it should be with an item every man and his dog needs.

Only kept one set of remains and a SoD + people should read raid rules some thought it was only ml1 .... which is kinda dumb tbh. What's worse though is when raid leaders announce what will or won't be split at the end after the raid is finished. sorry to hear that really, people are rather sad imo, don't even think the leaders deserve 1 lousy item.Rowenna wrote:i have lead raids with 185 peoope on and thats is pain full belive me so i am use with run big raids
