Tactica Online

I'm making this post to bring to your attention an upcoming game which takes a new twist on the mmorpg genre, infact it could be argued if this is a mmorpg at all. Below are some quotes taken from an interview given at E3

Tactica Online is really a game in its own category

It features a rich story, tactical turn based combat that is more like chess than an RPG, and an enthusiastic development team that hopes to blaze their own trail in this industry.

The game features no AI, all enemies are real players, and is heavily mission based

the combat system is not simply rock/paper/scissors, but more complex.

Tactica Online promises to provide a deep, rich, measure game play experience for those people who really want to match their wits – rather than their reflexes or character skills – against other players.

As alot of mmorpg fans are often strategy fans also, I think this game could do very well with the right support. Though it was due to release early this yr, I for one am hoping for release date reasonably soon.

Hehe, heres another game for you to check out

http://www.taleworlds.com/

Its called Mount&Blade, its pretty simple, but very addictive, there is a free intro that'll take you about 2 - 4 hours to play through, and is fun on its own, then if like me you really enjoyed it, it costs just $14 to play the full game.

Its a twitchy based rpg, with some mmorpg elements involved, and its heavily modded with everything from LotR to the ability to build stuff. The game involves leading troops into battle, and you and them getting tougher.

Pretty good, if they built a proper mmorpg around this idea I reckon it'd take off.

p.s Heya Edlina
