The game is out, I've had it for a week from amazon.

Gfx - Pretty good I think, once you turn them to very high quality.

Solo-ability - I'd go as far as to say none, you could solo some of the quests a lvl or 2 lower than yourself, but the game is totally designed for grp play. However finding a grp is not hard, and I've yet to meet an idiot, there are no l33t ppl, and no l33t names, it just doesn't attract that kind of crowd.

PvP - None, prolly never.

Grind - Its not really a grind, and if you play hardcore, you could complete the game as it stands now very quickly, but I dont think its the kind of game that lends itself to that play style. The quests are quick with few taking longer than an hour, and some only taking 5 minutes. It lends itself very well to short quick sessions or longer play times if you wanna get stuck into several quests.

World - There is no world to speak of, some of the quests are set within the world, but you cannot go explore or grind in the world. You dont get xp for killing mobs, or exploring, you get xp from completing quests.

Summary - I enjoy the game, though it is not a mmorpg in the classic sense, its defineatly a little different. It is very close to the 3.5 edition rule set (I should know, I still play PnP), and runs quickly, the combat is twitch based, fast and fluid. It is fun, but doesn't offer some of the things you're used to in a mmorpg. I enjoy it, but I will prolly let it go once a really meaty new mmorpg comes out, I just hope they put new increased lvl content in soon, as it is relatively easy to max out as it stands.

Sax.

The reason I haven't tried D&D online is because I got a beta invite from fileplanet and it said it was for US players only. So I got a euro beta invite a month or so later and despite me having a .co.uk hostname attached to my IP address and despite my fileplanet account being set as UK, registered with a .co.uk e-mail address and so on it just kept telling me it was for European players only and UK was listed as one of the European countries involved. I figure if they can't even make the beta sign up work then I cba to waste time with it :p

Sounds excellent IMO except for the group-dependancy thing ... I hate being group-dependant since DAoC :p
