Im thinking of upgrading my BT service to this (for reasons other than playing pc games) but ive never played with a wireless connection.
Anyone use this service from BT or have any technical insights that can help me out?

Personally I wouldn't play over wireless if you can help it, wireless still has latency issues so if you want the fastest gaming connection you can it's best to keep clear. It's ok if you're just doing PvE or crafting or something but when split seconds count in RvR I'd avoid it tbh.
Outside of gaming it's great though of course, can sit in the garden in the summer and still be connected like a true addict

I use wireless at home, sometimes, rarely it will just cut me off if my computer is far away, but otherwise its been running really really smoothly, and i havent really encountered any problems at all with any lag or anything

If im in the same room as the hub then it never cuts off or anything

even when im using a really old PCI card. The inbuilt computer laptop one just glides through things.
Hope that might be useful
