Have a 9000pro. Best Ati AGP card would be either a X850 or a X1600.

Can't use radeon x850 on socket A, not even the the pro version as it is PCIExpress and you can't use those with that chipset - need to upgrade to get that card working on ur comp!poop:

TBH, with AGP and latest graphics cards, you'll have to go NVidia. They just released the last AGP slot monster, GeForce 7800 GS. As you can see, ATi are concentrating on PCI-E and that will mean a whole new motherboard, processor, memory, the lot

I know you said ATI but here's what I went for:

Pretty nice as something to tie me over until I build a new PCI-E machine, plays all the latest games in max detail at 1280x1024 on my now rather dated Athlon XP 3200 at well over the ideal 30 FPS. Oblivion and GR:AW run really well and look fantastic, have learnt to love GR:AW now ;)

The GeForce 7800 GS is the best AGP there is. Unbeatable.

Yep it came with two although they were well hidden in the box ;) my heart sunk when it arrived and it only had DVI out, I was all ready to buy DVI -> VGA adapters but then a quick rummage in the packaging and I found them along with a few other bits and peices ;)

There are also agp versions of the x850pro though, which are just a bit cheaper then the x850xt.

@Hoonius

Yeh true, but some may argue (including me) that the Ati cards have a better color scheme (not really accurate said, but lack the english skill atm!).
