any good (free) movie editing proggies?

Avid, for those in the know, is a very big name in video editing. It produces serious professional software for broadcast video. It also, rather surprisingly, produces what it quiatly terms a ‘feature-streamlined’ free version of its editing software. It’s ideal for casual home tinkering and compiling DV footage of the cat.

It has all you need: two video tracks and two audio tracks plus a handful of real-time effects, titles, drag-and-drop editing and suchlike. It may not have dozens of pointless transitions, but what it does do, it does solidly and professionally; this is by the same people who make software for studio work.

You’ll need to complete a registration form before you can download it, other than that, this is a completely free version. Note: it is Windows XP only.

I could have put that on the above post, but hey i wouldnt have got +1 if i did that

In fact i might have a bit of a tinker around with it now.

fraps is a On screen recorder, not a video editing suite.

If you want my advice (im sure you dont but im going to tell you anyway), GameCam is a lot better than fraps, and its free.

Can someone help me then now?

my game cam recordings arnt compatible, what can i do, or is it simple as saving them as a mpeg or something? I dont know will go figure around, its just one video took me 21 minutes to do and dont want to lose it!

go to preferences > advanced, and on there there should be a file format tab. mine is AVI atm and tbh that should work just fine, dunno how to change it though.
