What kind of (affordable) card I could track down that would let me run it?

My friend has offered to let me have his old card, if some one could let me know if a geforce fx 5200 would work?

Hmm a 5200 a small one but its under supported in the link posted on somewhere in this thread

. You could try and plug it in the comp and see if and how it runs. Dont know whats affordable but if you going to buy a new one a radeon 9600XT or maybe 9800 would be good choices it think dunno the nvidea cards so cant say anything about them. A 9600 would prob do too. Running with a 9700, its a 9500pro chipset as far as i remember, atm going fine.

i also have a problem.....

when playing on cata, armour doesnt show on every toon. it only shows 1 colour not the armour....

anyone else have this problem!

i run a 9200 ATI 256mb card!

Personally I would recomend any non MX nvidia card (higher than GF3 ofc).. but thats cos Im a hardcore nvidia fan

I had the same prob, had the cata names showed but everything else was the old way, couldnt see the new lookng chars, my graphic card didint support em.. got a new one and it worked right away, no probs anymore .. had radeon 7100 so was time to get better one

I know that in the options on the char select screen theres a option to turn the char models on and off. It may just be that your card defaults to turning the option off.

90 quid would buy u a good card, 300 quid would buy u an excellent card.... me i only got a nVidia 6800 GTO 256MB :sheepskip

GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128 MB is around for less than £50 now.
If you can find them still that is.

Best to look for 256MB gfx card - this should last for at least another year and it will reduce the video lag.

I've been having a problem with Catacombs which is problem due to having lack of ram. Minimum requirement is 512, and I only have 256

. When porting from say Veil Rift to Shar Labyrinth I seem to port.. and then the loading screen comes up and gets stuck at 100%.. and does nothing.

When I restart my computer, and load DAoC again it seems to load fine though. Reminds me of my old problems with Toa and NF, where when porting to keeps or through the djinns I used to LD.
