I'm a big Chisame fan too now, she had a few really funny moments, i love the way nagi is a fan of her website, she doesn't quite know what to say. I wonder who the next person to get a card is, my bets are on Chisame or Makie.

Oh i'll download episode 1 tonight!, i hear they are taking the story in a different direction in this new series, should be interesting.

I want inchou to get one! Though the chance to kiss Negi may cause her to nosebleed to death before she can do it :(

Hey guys. Been a while again. :O

Anyway, I just finished Now and then, here and there aka Ima, Soko Ni Iru Boku. Any of you watched it? The first episode was great, but from there it turned out to be a sad type of anime. It got fairly boring and silly after a while. Story wasnt great.

I see it has a good rating on animenfo.com. Dont really understand that. :\ Not every sad anime is good.

I've not seen it Korax ;( Sad animes generally aren't high up on my to-watch lists, as well.. they leave me feeling sad for far too long, and any small reference to them makes me sad again too :(

And having said that, I'm watching Kanon 2006, it's based on a hgame by the people who made Air, so even though I haven't seen the original from 2002 I'm pretty sure it's gonna have a sad and depressing story to tell :( Just thinking of how Air ended up after such a bright optimistic opening is just.. argh :(

But yeah, KyoAni doing a great job on Kanon imo, it's chock full of Haruhi references too for added fun :p And Uguu is the bestest thing ever!

Other than Kanon, other really good things this season seem to be (in no particular order):

1) Death Note. I read through the manga recently, and it was great for the first half, and quite good for the second half (12 vols long total). So far the anime is doing a stellar job, and after the first 2 eps I'm tingling with excitement for more (even though I know what happens lol). Probably the best new series imo this season. It's about Light, who finds a shinigami's Death Note, a notebook which lets you kill anyone if you write their name in it (subject to certain restrictions and rules ^). On the surface it seems like, wtf, how can this be a series, someone who kills people with the ultimate weapon where he doesn't even need to go near em? BORING! cept it's not, it rocks, it's all about mind-games and doublee-triple-outthinking the opponent and stuff.. ep1 doesn't make it very clear where the series is going (though it's a nice intro to the death note and light) but ep2 makes it very clear how the series is going and leaves you gasping for more!.

2) Code Geass.. Sunrise mecha action with CLAMP character designs, only one ep subbed of it so far I think, seems pretty promising and I don't really want to spoil it, but I will say, that since it's Sunrise, I can't help but feel they'll pull a Mai Hime on most of the chars from the first ep.. Ah well, whether it's good or a trainwreck it should be fun to watch!

3)Happiness - Standard hgame turned romantic comedy harem anime - with added magical powers, first ep was pretty enjoyable for me though, characters are attractive and likeable, and it has the ultimate trap Jun! Which brings us along nicely to..

4)Otome wa boku ni koishiteru - grandparent dies and the grandson is told it's in the will that he must "change" and attend an all girls school. Yep only in anime. So anyways he goes to the school, and the Nun who's in charge is *very* happy to greet him, and thinks it's a wonderful idea for him to attend an all girls school. And of course, to live in the dorm with all of the innocent young girls without letting any of them know he's a guy, so that they won't be remotely defensive towards him... yeah, Nuns are always like that.. yep.. really... Anyhows, it seemed alrightish to me, I didn't find it that great, most people are raving about it more than me, but I'll stick with it for a while and see if my interest grows.. If nothing else his childhood friend is very hawt!

5) Negima?! is going pretty well, the new style is very very different, and it's taking me a while to get used to, but it's quite nice I think (though since I wasn't a great Pani Poni Dash fan the references aren't as well recieved by me as the haruhi references in Kanon :p ). I wonder how the plot is going to vary overall.. but really I just wish there was a series based on the original manga done right :< I wanna see the kyoto arc done justice to, I wanna see the martial arts tournament! I wanna see Chao Linsen's whole arc! Ah well :P

6) Black Lagoon series 2.. more of the same pretty much, I'm enjoying it a bit more this time than before.. why? I've no idea!

7) Inukami! Okay it's not remotely new, but it's still being subbed (slowly -- but faster now that Mendoi joined up with shinsen-subs) and tbh it's just a whole barrel of fun!

Crescent Love is alright too (as mentioned before), Busou Renkin seems kinda kiddie-ish shounen action but we'll see after ep1 - can totally imagine it being a homunculus of the week type of affair.. though it does have Aya Hirano in it! Sumomo Momomo is uhm, yeah.. martial arts obsessed loli seeking to produce babies.. yeah... kinda mad! Just a tad though!

Oh this just in, Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wa seems very promising! I can't really say what it's about without ruining the very start, so I won't! But it has an uberly uber tsunderekko who reminds me of Chidori I guess! Must be the long blue hair.. anyhows, I really enjoyed ep1 and am looking forwards to more!

And now to discuss Kanon in more detail, with some pseudo-spoilers up to ep2:

************* KANON SPOILERS AHEAD, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! *************

Mmmkay, this is just my guessing, so not truely spoilers, but after the first 2 eps (and my previous experiences with Air putting me on guard) I'm going to have to guess that Ayu is dead, and now an angel (wings afterall). And that the flashback at the start of ep1 was her dying 7 years ago while wishing Yuuichi wouldn't be sad, and thus, the reason why Yuuichi doesn't remember anything from before is because of that incident and the ensuing mental trauma :o ... perhaps!

Hi everyone,
This season really sucks! No great new shows at all in the January slew, heck the best thing is probably Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny, which is pure fanservice ;( Atleast the series continuing on from last october are still good.

One Episode left of Kanon, how will it end? why must it end?! Only one more episode :((((

Code Geass has 6~ more episodes to go, then it's gone for 26 weeks :(, then it's back for a 2nd series of 26 more episodes apparently. Yay \o/ Personally I still think it's great, and my interest was in no way rekindled by naked Karen in ep19, oh no, not one bit!

Busou Renkin is actually really good, it's shounen action except it avoids all (but one) of the standard pitfalls of the genre.. There's no long flashbacks, no "omg I can't believe how strong he is" constantly interupting fights (it does happen sometimes, but it's kept to a minimum), no drawing fights out for the sake of it - they end when they should, the only thing wrong with it is NOBODY DIES, argh ;( Too much of the surviving impossibly huge wounds with just a band-aid http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=228 But yeah, other than that it's surprisingly quite great! One of my fav series atm.

Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora is alright-ish I suppose, atleast pretty watchable and fun to lol at Kuu's over the top response to seeing two girls kissing in ep2.

Wow didn't think you were still active :)

Downloaded and watched all of Busou Renkin, i really liked it, the ending was a bit dodgy
I'm going to the moon with all the bad guys, cus we're misunderstood :p
Trialing - Lucky Star, sola and Claymore!

Recommend Claymore for any Shounen.

Yay bubble's still alive \o/ Yeah busou renkin ending was silleh, but I still enjoyed the series overall :)
ROFL at the little Pappilon toy at the burger joint
I was kinda BLEH at the january season so didn't really have anything to say about it. On the otherhand, april is full of win and awesomeness.

Imo Claymore is probably gonna be the best series of the season, I read the manga and tbh the first volume's story was quite poor (this is being rushed through in eps 1+2 thankfully) but after that it consistently gets better and better until in vol6 (the last translated one at present, 11vols in japan atm afaik) it has reached the point of being absolutely insanely awesomely good. Given how lovely the anime looks (much better than the manga which is pretty plain imo) and how they actually improved the first parts of the story compared to the manga original, I have really high hopes for the series! Hopefully unlike berserk (the obvious series to compare it to given the medieval setting, high amount of blood and gore, people with swords too big for them etc :p ) it'll have a more conclusive ending..

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan is kinda a surprise hit too, mecha with drills, the hottest anime girl of the april season (Yoko <3) and all-round good fun, if only ep2 would be subbed faster as it's apparently even better than ep1 was! Random Yoko pics attached below! Really liked Kamina's character too, simon so far is a bit too in awe of kamina and following him around (which is understandable since Kamina rocks!) but I'm sure he'll quickly grow to be a good character too.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS is a bit disappointing so far for me :< Admittedly it'd be impossible to live up to the awesomeness of Nanoha A's but so far all they've been fighting is robotic drones which lacks any kind of tension, but it's early days yet and I think it's a 26 ep series this time? Since they seem to be taking their time introducing people and such and couldn't afford to if it were only 13 eps again..

Nagasarete Airantou is a nice harem love comedy, if you're into those kinda things (I am, duh x<) the manga original is quite fun and the anime adaptation (ep1 atleast) was well done (and certainly had enough fanservice for even me), though they changed a few things needlessly imo. It's got Horie Yui doing the main role atleast and I always like her :p (Plus she sings both OP and ED which are both pretty nice).

Lucky Star.. Haven't actually got to watch it yet, but everyone says that it's quite disappointing ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnNP4RgVX2I http://rapidshare.com/files/24955863/Lu ... P.avi.html

The Murder Princess OVA ep1 was quite nice, haven't checked how many eps/what release dates it'll be having though.. hopefully won't be as bad as Hellsing Ultimate's 1 ep every 6-8months though.. (speaking of which, isn't ep3 meant to come out this month?! gifv!). Maybe I just have a weakness for duel weilding princesses beating up robotic lolis! The OP got me in the right mood for it I think :p (A good OP is too effective on me lol)

IdolM@ster Xenoglossia seemed hmm.. very Sunrise-ish, which isn't particularily bad a thing :p Cute girls, mecha, action, what more can you need?! This'll probably be good enough to tide me over til series 2 of Code Geass (gifv now btw, really like that series lol and the "end" of series one was funky - yes I know there's 2 eps left which will be airing at random dates in summer).

Hayate The Combat Butler (Hayate no Gotoku) is kinda disappointing, tisn't terrible, but is pretty average really and not that funny, still I have to keep watching until Hinagiku shows up atleast (which is prob atleast 1/2 way through x<) just.. cos.. x<

Touka Gettan! HMMMMMMMMM, well, it doesn't make any sense but uh, it's apparently Moonlight Lady (the hentai) 2 in some as of yet unexplained way (the hentai-game version of TG is coming out on april 17th or so). Which is still my favourite hentai (this is anime though btw :p). It's being done by the same crowd who did Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito (yay!) so whether or not it's any good, it's gonna be pretty atleast! And maybe it'll have lesbians. Who knows!

Haven't got to watch Sola yet (DLing ep1 atm) but it's meant to be decent I believe, El Cazador de la Bruja was pretty weak, don't think I'll watch more of it unless I hear great things or get really really bored. Haven't seen Heroic Age, Darker than Black?), Sisters of Wellber, Romeo x Juliet and other things yet :p Interested only in Wellber though of those, oh and there's some baseball anime starting later in the month (or now?) which I'm interested in, can't remember the name though now lol, some weird japanese name :D

<breathes again>
Whew, yep, tis a nice season with shows for everyone this time!

Yeah i totally agree with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaa.
Bit strange to start off with but its totally crazy (i'm not normally into mecha anime but this is different)

Yeah Yoko is really hot, i love the way kamina's attitude towards her changed when he found out she was from another village and not from the surface (Move out the way fatass!)

Downloading Nagasarete Airantou at the moment, so will post about that later :)

Wish Negima?! would come out faster, i do like this different story line, i mean hes like a mega pimp now, he has a contract with the whole class!

I don't know if you follow it or even care, but post time skip Naruto has started, they are up to episode 9. Its pretty good so far too. Its called Naruto Shippuuden.

Malev have you ever played Tsukihime: Lunar Legend? its a pretty funky H game that spawned a manga and anime series.
