Ventrilo Service

Along with the forum software upgrade, we've set up a Ventrilo server on Prydwen.net. We're running this service as
AN EXPERIMENT (edited to clarify) for the next month or so to see how much bandwidth it consumes, but hopefully we will be able to continue the service after the first month.
You need an old version of Ventrilo (2.1.x) to connect. You can download it from
here.
Server information

I could see if our guild rvr group wants to use it. We use the greystone.se one at the moment, but its quite busy all the time. Might be nicer to have a quieter one to use.
Who do we see about getting a channel set up?

Yeah, send me a PM with desired channel name and password, and I'll create it for you.
I will limit the number of guildchannels to ~5 (public channels not included) for the first month or so, until we get a better idea of the bandwidth usage.
But until that limit is reached, feel free to send me a PM with above info.

erm for an rvr group you can set up a free private server on your pc for up to 8 people (1fg!) its dead easy and really doesn;t impact much on your pc performance. Took me a while to sort out port forwarding on my router but once set up, nps:-)
you can get the software off the vent homepage.
