Arizona voted on an initiative to give one voter $1 million for each election.

It didn't pass though 66-34.

They also had a rule that it would take effect immediately, i.e. the voters voting on that election would have had a chance to win if it passed.

So, would it increase your chances of voting if one voter in the country got $1 million ? Also, would you think it would be a good idea?

Not really, I'd just play the lottery if I cared about that kind of thing ;) Not sure if it's even a good idea really, people who don't care the slightest about politics would vote randomly without deciding properly which candidate they really want, whoever is at the top of the ballot paper or something most likely ;)

I think that's pretty true, now if they made it $50 million that might be worth it. Anyway, they should have an average payout of say $30-40 per person. That would probably require some additional smaller payouts.
