couple of web comic artists (well ok a heck of alot) have donated comics in support of the hurricane katrina thing. You can donate to red cross from the page.

According to an american general he concider New Orleans to be worse than Iraq....I wonder what he based that on tbh. Imo both are just as tragic only one of them could have been stopped.

It's not the dead that count on both sides it is what you could have done to avoid it... And in both cases a US gouvernment failed. You can't control the weather but you should be able to control a gouvernment... at least if you call yourself the best democracy in the world.

So I do feel for those who lost everything, both in Iraq and in New Orleans. Yet I can't help myself but I feel it struck the right nation. Lately the US gouvernment has made such terrible descions that they finally got the bill for their doings.. at least considering them declining Kyoto, leading an invasion on a country that never attacked them and the missing precautions concerning the protection of the city and so on.

recent information has been bought out saying that the decline in oil supply will have more effect on the environment that Kyoto.
