Just thought I would post this here - I really like this one:
The Second Coming -- W. B. Yeats
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all convictions, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

nice ... somebody with same intrest as me
I like this one: (hard to pick cos i got loads of them)
She looks at you sweetly begging you to take a swim,
to come away with her and to go away from them,
she wants to take you to her world she wants to drag you in,
and as you follow her you feel as if with her your happiness won't end,
but the mistress of deceit is the real her,
she gives you the disease and lures you with the cure,
and when you are far enough from the shore,
she drags you under with a kiss that leaves you wanting more,
and before you realize that you are under the waves of the sea,
she leaves you for dead which is what you soon shall be,
she looks back once to see the smile on your face,
then you die where the siren had you placed,
never moving paralyzed by her kiss,
never to be found- never to be missed.

Beautiful.
William Blake:
TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies 5
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart? 10
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp 15
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee? 20
Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

An old favourite..
When we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted
To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this.
The dew of the morning
Sunk chill on my brow--
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
And light is thy fame;
I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shame.
They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shrudder comes o'er me--
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee,
Who knew thee so well--
Long, long I shall rue thee,
Too deeply to tell.
In secret we met--
In silence I grieve,
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?--
With silence and tears.

The Messenger
The thing, he said, would come in the night at three
From the old churchyard on the hill below;
But crouching by an oak fire's wholesome glow,
I tried to tell myself it could not be.
Surely, I mused, it was pleasantry
Devised by one who did not truly know
The Elder Sign, bequeathed from long ago,
That sets the fumbling forms of darkness free.
He had not meant it - no - but still I lit
Another lamp as starry Leo climbed
Out of the Seekonk, and a steeple chimed
Three - and the firelight faded, bit by bit.
Then at the door that cautious rattling came -
And the mad truth devoured me like a flame!
-- H. P. Lovecraft

cant help it have to post this, i love this one
I hunger for the female form.
I ache to carees the breasts, to
feel the soft hips, to
hear the whoosh of her blood...
I hunger.
I could devour her,
untie her strings,
unleash her power,
release her bonds.
I hunger.
Her nipples the color of cherries
So bright against pale skin
Her sex open upon the rock.
I ache.
Her navel an invitation
to kiss, to caress
To breathe through her mouth.
I ache.
To take her detachment
and suck it in
Leave her wet, quivering.
I Hunger.
I ache.
I starve.

A dark one
"This Is My Life"
by © MaryEllen Moynihan
Tonight my life ends as it began
Misery was my mother
Hate my father
Unloved as a child
never wanted never needed
Always alone
Fear became my friend
the loneliness and anger
make me hard and cold
My mind is full of empty thoughts
My hearts aches
This is my life
Unfeeling I turn away
Not wanting to be touched I push away
Everyday is filled with pain..
No words spoken, no tears
left to shed
This is my life
A life where pain and sorrow have become the norm.
Soulless since conception
Empty since birth
A heart as black as night
This is my life
The demons control me now
The thought of death is warm and welcomes me.
When will tomorrow end and yesterday begin?
For me there is no heaven or hell
Just the prison of LIFE
