Hello all.

Been a while since I wrote here.

What a game it was I would like to admit! I have started playing it more then 8 years ago and still smile when I think of it!

I miss killing water beetles :-)

In all the time since, I have never enjoyed a game as much again.

Also, I have never met a community as nice as the one we had on Hib/Pryd.

Still think of DAoC from time to time.
No other game has come close to the real community spirit, or the RvR

Agreed, nothing has matched that sense of friendship and the bonds that I felt when growing up with this game

A few of my favourite memories, some triggered by other posts, most of which were before Shrouded Isles:

Usp's pbaoe spam defending one of our keeps, visible everywhere in Connacht,

Bfr sitting alone next to a keep lord with a FG of dead albs around him ,

Flamegecko fighting an infiltrator with his flaming two handed sword and red armour,

Redb's majestic barding coupled with Lorelei and Latino's firepower mowing down groups of enemies. I remember being MA for them and feeling like I could make things die just by clicking on them,

Watching Nolby Pride and Eclipse working together with impressive coordination to harass and stop an albion relic raid,

The Hibernia RvR boycott, where nobody ventured into the frontiers in protest (I can't remember why now, but the sense of community was so strong)

Wise elders of the community, such as Basil, Skippy, Jabberwocky, Dardalion who were always ready to lend a hand,:o

Venoid the elf champion and his zealous fervour for PvE

Jamiesmallicus winning duel after duel against enemies in his pink boots,

Lucchini, the funniest Lurikeen I ever played with who once salvaged his own bow by accident when in the Coruscating Mines and began to hit a mummy with a stick he picked up from an unseelie mango in a fit of tiny rage,

Gahn insulting mids in rampant Italian while morphed into a moose,

Maeloch getting drunk and taking a Finliath all the way to Emain with no speed,

Doing PvE with the Order of the Sacred Oak back when the Parthenon Farm and Siabra's were absolutely terrifying, and level 17 was the highest level I had ever seen,

Receiving 5 gold pieces from an elf called Gilgalad and feeling like I had been given all of King Midas' riches,

Running with the guild group at Severance, some of the nicest and most lethal hibs I ever came across

The list goes on and on but thought I'd go all nostalgic for a bit and share a few moments, would love to hear from others of any memories you have

Ah, the good old times..

I used to be a member of Green Peacekeepers and I can't join other guilds in other mmo's without comparing them. I miss the GPK-family sometimes!
