I have been meaning to ask this for a while, and well now here it is.
The matrix.
I am presuming everyone has watched it and if not get the hell out of that cave you are living in..
Now the question I wished to ask was.
Did you understand the Matrix (first film) on the first viewing.
Or did you need to view it a few times?
Please answer truthfully

I thought the first was Ace and the other 2 were OK as long as you watch them both together.

they should have stopped after the 1st one really.
The other two really did not need to be made

TBH whatever you feel about the 2nd and 3rd Matrix at least they were relatively decent films, as opposed to the last 2 years where there's been hardly any films at all.
After Matrix trilogy, LotR trilogy, Star Wars trilogy ended it seems Hollywood forgot how to make decent films. That's not to say there haven't been any - they've just been few and far between whilst for a period we were spoilt with plenty of decent films.
I didn't think Matrix 2/3 was that impressive at the time but compared to the shite over the last 2 years or so it would easily be in the top 5% of films whereas at the time it would probably have only been in the top 50% for those years.
