What kind of moderation would YOU like to see on Prydwen.net?

I think the newer mods have been getting way too much criticism (although it's normal & to be expected).
You've got to try & not let it get to you.
You're posting styles seem to have changed since you became mods.
Satyn - I can't recall seeing you post something flirty or sekseh! since you became a mod.
& I can't recall seeing Xest or Quinlan really rip into an arguement with claws out & fangs bared since you became mods ... well ...except once ).
I really prefered the way you all posted before you became mods, even when I was on the receiving end of it. You all used to get my blood cooking

Lol that has nothing to do with becoming a mod, just with the sudden realisation that not everyone thought I was joking. Some ppl actually took me serious! But yes i have changed my way of posting, i'm actually glad you noticed it.
But I havent stopped completely tho, in the forum of me and Ankh i sometimes let go again Need to get my frustration out somewhere

and while you prefered the way i posted before there were other thinking I was a slut so i kind of want to get rid of that rep wich is pretty hard. But then again, like some very wise person said to me tonight: dont bother about ppl's opinion about you when they live over 2000 miles away!

don't give it a second thought.
If they make a post saying "OMG WTF U fl4m3d m3! URaM0d!! NERF!!1!" Just post "KMSA MFer" & laugh.

Just got home from work, and had to read 8 pages again on this . So i read it quickly and all i can say tbh is that some people try to make a sport of it to criticise the mods <not meaning this thread only, but also others>. Seems like they have fun in it trying to get mods to post an abusive reply to what they say. So that they can say then mods are as bad as themselves, or dunno really.

Every forum needs mods, wheter u like em or not shoudln't matter, and if u feel like they are locking ur posts all the time, or deleting thread, or giving u a warning, well then maybe something is wrong with urself.

I will never edit my post or use other words in it, if the mods don't agree with me, well so be it. If they wanna give me a warning for it, well tbh i don't really care.

In short words, like i said before, there are mods on this forum, we need em to keep things clean. Not everyone who reads these posts can handle everything what is said, and we all know some people can use some really abusive language.

Yeah, but what is whining and what is stating your disagreement with something.

Whining is when people swear every second word just to make a statement and when they do personal insults. A normal person should be able to tell others what he dislike and dont agree on without having to put FFS or STFU into their message. Or similar things ofc. Or when they cry about adding or buffbots or what ever it might be..

Possibly we do, and since it is now Banana's decision, I guess that means we do. But this forum DID operate for almost its entire lifetime with almost no moderation. There were people who did it, but they rarely stepped in. During that time, the forum didn't implode, explode or become some kind of den of iniquity.

I'm curious as to where the new need for extra moderation came from. Either we have more people posting unacceptable stuff or we are adopting a less tolerant value system.

Imo it changed alot to worse (from what I can recall) some 7-8 months ago or so...more complaining and flaming and an incredible amount of swearing. But ofcourse, my memory isnt exactly well known to be any good
