No heaven no hell.

Why would anyone create this version of the truth?
Why is that so bad? If this is the only life, then wouldn't it be better to live this life well, fully enjoying it but without harming others, rather than spending it fretting about being judged by some imaginary higher power in the afterlife.

Faith / religion comes about because most people find the prospect of eternal oblivion after death to be [understandably] rather bleak and scary. So they look for a bigger picture to why we're here and what it all means. Trouble is, the sort of people who like to rule and control others take advantage of that by inventing and perpetuating religions, controlling their "flock" (not an accidental term) with archaic rules and rituals that have long since lost their connection with the real world and serve only to control.

All the good aspects of any world religion (the 'being nice to other people' stuff) can easily be practised by atheists. You don't have to be religious to be a good person. In fact, most of the atheists I know are more christian than the Christians I know.

So are there no non-religious evil people in the world?

Do you think they have been fired? or even went to prison? NO ... its one big cover up. They protect them and they will keep doing that. So yes I am blaming them.
In my opinion, they should indeed be fired, go to prison, and a lot worse. And so should people who aided them by covering it up.

A church that covers that up is at fault by their own rules. The rules of Christianity as taught by Jesus in the New Testament I think clearly state that doing harm to children is not acceptable. Any church that allows harm to children is not following those rules. The guild master should throw this church out of the guild.

This raises the question of how many of the churches and people who describe themselves as Christian would be accepted as that by Jesus.

The Romans were not Christians at the time of Christ. It wasn't until around 300AD that the Romans converted to Christianity.
