Yeah the forum only checks them once an hour. Setting to 1 minute just makes sure that the next check will clear it (unless you happen to give it 30 seconds before the check).

Tenpit used to have some IP stats plugin for vBulletin I'm sure, I remember him telling me I was number 1 user with the most IP addresses for my login account amongst other stats
