Well as has been pointed out some people see it very differently, I'm sure most Jewish families would be a lot more offended by it than someone like me, who quite honestly doesn't really care what people call me or think of me, that's why you have to understand a word that has so much horrific background too it may well hit right home with some people.

The point is that it really shouldn't be considered hard to think about what you're posting & take into consideration the possible effect on the person on the other end. It really isn't harder to express disagreement with somones opinion in a non-abusive way than in an abusive way. I don't have a problem with people using specific words. I have a problem with the way they're wielded.

Aye, actually the persons using either facist or nazi is way out of line, the correct word they should use is "dictator". Facist's and nazi's r just small minded jelous bastids with too little aducation. Kinda like me and my english.



Oh, and btw, because i have no clue what incident ur talking about i'm ofc not pointing out anyone as a dictator. Just suggesting that peeps should use the correct word for what they think.

nobody got banned cos he/she didnt agree with the use of the word. But as you can see in this thread a lot of ppl feel very negative against the use of the word Nazi. So saying: get over it people simply wont work here.

I disagree,I think it's petty, pointless and is basically causing hassle on these boards, mods could have simply edited the word out of the post with an explanation as to why if they felt that they had to explain themselves.

Sure a lot feel negative about it, im sure alot of us are old enough and mature enough to cope with it, if i had an issue with it would have pm'ed him myself. Were all europeans, we all know OUR history and we were all affected, lets just move on huh?

Moving on would be forgetting the term, not bringing it up as a form of insult
