I never thought you did either - imo there IS no evil. Every deed being made is being made to something that happened to a person in his life. It doesnt always take much to damage a person mentally. Nobody is born evil - you might be born with less morale due to braindamage but I think thats about it.
Yeah but then those people who rape headless corpses .. canibulising while alive .. that's gotta be evil .. but usually is because of their beliefs e.g doing gods will. And religion brought up evil.

Its just a persons way of compensating for the actual lack of power
However, its down to how the rapest feels at the time.
Is it just power he wants then any girl/man would suffice and its not evil. Just very .. well.. odd.
If however, it is power over that girl/man - that SPECIFIC girl/man then you are heading into the realms of evil.
If its to use rape as a form of suffering for that girl/man then its evil

To enjoy watching someone suffer is proberbly a brain damage and NOT evilness.
Edit: People who have been rejected by society or mistreated by their parents are often found among serial killers, rapists and other crimes - a child is never evil, so why should it turn into evil later on? It's all about how they are raised and what kind of problems they encounter in their life.
For example, there have been several cases of women being beaten by their husbands for a couple of years who finally decide to kill their husband. This is not much different from a child who grow up having no friends, being bullied, being raped etc etc.. was the woman being evil when she murdered her husband? The other example I mentioned with the kid is pretty much what most serial killers have experienced during their childhood (one or more of those options). If you keep on running into problems throughout your life your bound to get sick of it sooner or later. Sure, now you can always throw into my face that "I know a guy who had 1000 problems in his life but never turned into a monster" - and thats true, not everyone does - but thats exactly what makes us all individuals, nobody is the same. Some people don't need much to snap while others can go through their whole life without doing so.
Point is - there are alot of different people, and everyone act different to problems.
Problems doesnt always have to be visible either - for some people the constant need to get up early on a monday can drive them nuts (just check that lil girl who brought her dads rifle to school and killed people...you think she was evil?).
Another thing is braindamage - it's not exactly easy to know if a person have a braindamage. I know lots of parents who have children with problems like alergic to milk, bee stings etc etc... these are defects that are easy to spot, but a brain damage isnt always easy to spot. Can take years before anyone (if ever) notice it.
