Most of the ppl that I call friends in game are sort of rl friends. Do you have to see them to be a rl friend. I have the same feelings for all my friends so that shouldnt change anything. I talk to them on the phone aswell, or on ventrillo, i see pics of them and even meet with them so ... they are real friends.

I call my online mates, friends.. i call my offline mates... friends.

One thing u got to realize about me.. ur eather a friend or an enemy, id like to call everybody on these forums friends.. but quite frankly... there are afew mids... so.. thats my deal

I have the exact emotional atactment to my online friends as i do my offline friends... an example must be given.. but im not quite sure on what example to give.. so i suppose the first one that comes to mind will do.

perFECTo example: when in real life my sister told me that she was gettin married to the guy she has been with for the past 2 years.. i didnt shead a singel tear of happyness.... yet... when landra PM'ed me to tell me that she finally got married to kesxex.. both Online.. AND offline... i balled like a flippen 8 year old who just got a mountain of candy lol (happyness obviously...) when i heard my grandad died when i was 16.. ofc i cryed..i didnt cry at his feneral... yet all it took was one head-strong MOFO to kick me from KotG (an no im not talkin about kesxex) an i was in tears for the best part of 2 weeks.

I think that pretty much sums it up, yes i know.. im a strange guy.. but im one of those guys who keeps his friends close.. an his enemys so FAR away u couldnt snipe em with an M82 Bereta, but to summerize it all, i think i keep my online mates closer to me then my offline mates

No real distinction for me tbh.
Friends are friends, as Satyn said.
Is more i'd use some kinda additional term if i mentioned sb to my family and they can't figure who's that. So in such case saying 'online friend' would help them understand how do i know the given person.
But for me no diff, once a friendship forms, at some point the background you used to meet doesnt matter, and the friendship will exist wihtout it, if that was a true one; good example some DAOC friends who don't even play the game anymore, yet we talk/mail each other few times a week or even meet irl

Im my eyes.. anybody who has a heart thats big enough will accept those that they meat online as real friends
I know that in my opinion.. ANY hib on pryd is my friend as far as im conserned the guy that kicked me from KotG is STILL my friend, even tho he put me through hell... he was doin his job an a GM, and the primary job of a GM is a guild is to take care of the guild itself... i started shit.. i payed the price, end of story
But any hib (i mean ANY hib) that looks for help.. or need help.. i can try to give the help.. or any other hib that consideres an online friend a real friend.. cus those are the ppl who actually care enough about ppl that they can make the choise to stand up for em (if u know what i mean)
