I didn't say swearing wasn't valid.

I think swearing has lost a lot of it's effect by being over-used. When I were a lad, many years ago...

When typing a thread or reply on a forum there is time to choose words, and think about what you are typing. In which case there is always better alternatives to swearing.

I put no - simply because there have always been flames here but those flames have always been set in the middle of a decent discussion where people feel passionate about things. FH they flame for the sake of it and put people down for the sake of it. Its like a six year old playground full of boys.

These forums have always been marked by a certain openess and respect and whilst now and again we get into an arguement well - thats the way things are sometimes.

I need to tell it to mine first, my spoken language can leave a lot to be desired at times. Doesn't stop me trying not to swear when I type, or even when I get time to think about what I am saying.

Now i can never be bothered to type, so i usually just type the first thought that comes into my head, except in exceptional curcumstance when i may break into another sentence. But the frequency in which i feel the need to explain myself or share my deepest thoughts are few and far between.
