Lol class m8y, i'd give you a +rep for that if this was fh (quin would get one as well for his little medical drama)

Suffice to say, i shall not be making a purchase, the hand/wrist angle looks really uncomfortable, and I just purchased 3 cute small form factor keyboards for £15 for the lot.

Well the current keyboard you are using is based on the typewriter. The layout is determined long ago based on the moving things in the typewriter. Some people figured out that one of the best ways to layout the keys is like they are now (QWERTY setup). The reason this is on of the best was since the vowels (sp) are spread over and other often used letters arent close either.

If they would be close the moving things (the thing that slams on the paper to put the ink on) on a typewriter could get stuck.

So your current keyboard is far from most effective and efficient from a ergonomical side and other sides. The keys could be laid out in alot better way. This keyboards gives you the ability. That is the point of the keyboard

It looks good to me. Although I can't imagine learning to type again from scratch after 20 years with the QWERTY layout, it looks like it would be good for gaming if you have voice comms and just need it for qbars etc.

Edit: also, I have tendonitis and anything, ANYTHING that gives me options for making my hands & writsts less stressed has got to be a good idea.

as Heta mentioned below you keep your orginal keyboard. The funky keyboard is connected via USB while your normal keyboard is probably connected via PS2. This means that you can use both at the same time.

For DAOC it could be tricky to use this in RVR _if_ you dont use voice communications. Cause either you have to be able to type fast on the funky keyboard or move your hand(s) to the QWERTY keyboard.

I am also thinking of buying it for gaming since it can significantly lower RSI chances i think, but since Heta said he would do it first he can be the testsheep :)

Oh, I know it's not meant for typing. Unfortunately it's typing that really gives me grief, 'cause as folks have pointed out, the QWERTY layout is not about ergonomics.

That was more of a general comment about keyb design than specifical about this device. It looks nice.
