Poll: Best post-rating system?
as far as i can see the points system is just a way for ppl to points farm, but that might just be because i dont understand it,
the only way i could see it working is if there were repocusions for constant flamer's or ppl just trying to make truble
ie the rating system worked ..1st good post 2nd Flamer 3rd trublemaker
then if someone constantly got option 2 or 3 they get a day ban then a week ban then a perma ban.

na i would have to be modded like everything , say mabey an alert system so when someone gets a certain nummber of bad rating's something pop's up in admin section and an admin looks at it then decide's.

Why do posts need to be rated at all?
It's just adding something to the forum that is not really essential. Prydwen Net has managed without it so far, so why change things?
If a post is genuinely good or bad, people spot it straight away without having to vote whether it is good or bad.
Also, people have differing views and those who agree with a post will vote favourably for it, whereas those who don't agree will vote against it. But that's all unimportant, because of "freedom of speech". Post rating is just another way of bashing the minority point of view and in my opinion is wrong.
