Yeah, I don't think for the family is a bad thing either, look at Zelda, easily one of the best RPGs ever and imo partly because it doesn't have the horrible clunky interfaces of things like NwN, Oblivion etc. - it's much more simplistic, straightforward and easy to play. Games like Pikmin are so damn fun and addictive also

The only thing I dislike are FPS games on consoles, they're just nowhere near as immersive and fun imo. Whilst I like all the dark gory games where you get to blow people/aliens/whatever to peices in all the bloody gory you desire it is nice that Nintendo still tries to focus on the fact that games can still be cute and colourful and remain extremely addictive and good fun. Besides, whatever the vocal minority of gamers (yes that's us to a large extent

) may have you beleive, there's still vastly more money in the casual gamers market than any other portion of the gaming market. Ignoring the fact there's more casual gamers out there one of the biggest stumbling blocks is the fact that those vocal gamers who like to blow things apart are also generally the ones who are extremely skilled in the use of BitTorrent, DVD burners and gamecopyworld.com, in contrast to Jill the bored housewife playing "The Sims" who thinks BitTorrent is something to do with flooding as a result of global warming.
