WoW PvE is soloable, and so probably is PvP on a free for all PvP server, but that's only really because you can "grief" XPers :) Eve it is possible to solo without stealth, but you need to have either a lot of skills, and expensive ship, or just go after PvEers. There is still stealth available tho...

Maybe it's just Mythic realising that they suck at stealthers so deciding not to spoil the game by including their sucky version?
