I remember a time when people weren't template obsessed in Daoc and pieced together a set of gear from whatever they could obtain from drops and crafting. Then along came SI with Galladoria and Spellcrafting and people started worrying about maxxing out everything. And then along came ToA and every...

Well, even getting a half decent blue set takes an awful lot of farming too.. mainly the fault of bind on pickup I guess. Toa was certainly much easier for getting gear in than wow is, I don't have any purples, nor can I feasibly see myself getting one through farming (maybe get very luck one day t...

DAoC it's easy to get to 50, I ...

...I dont love the fact that 95% of the time so far I have spent solo or with "10 minute" groups, where you team purely to kill a few mobs for a quest with whoever is in the area. I think this is where some of us took the easy route :) I joined a guild with ppl I alrdy knew, so I've spent most of m...

One nice feature of DAoC is that the quests for alb/mid/hib are quite different- you don't really say to yourself "i've done this one before". So getting a character up to 50 won't be dull quest-wise. But, you know this game is now more-or-less about completing MLs and getting artifacts. If you can ...

ofc you wouldnt like it untill youve actually tried it?? not at all. if that were the case, we'd all be broke! :) we ignore most games because they simply don't hit the headlines, or get that peer ressure in. those that do get a review, it better be good, 'coz ppl don't like playing games with shit...

i agree with you on everything uve said rami. Moving server and starting again may not have helped but the game just seemed to go downhill for me after 2-3 weeks. I miss the lvling experience in daoc i dont like the fact i have to move every 20 mins and how you could call normal exping in daoc bori...

Yeah, the auction system is great and really helps develop a bustling economy. And being able to mail items to other characters as attachments (with a reasonable delivery delay to prevent abuses of the system) is a wonderful feature. I'm just starting to get a name for my gunsmith atm, and a few pp...
