Hey Happlo, great to hear from you again. Yeah there's quite a few old Hibbies playing WAR on the Order side on Karak Eight Peaks server. Several guilds with old Hibs inclusing Merely Mortal (Jarakin, Usp, Malev, Reza et al), NFD, Severance and Ravens Bane (which includes some names you might rememb...

Ravens Bane are staying. We joined K8 to be with old Daoc friends and want a balanced server with lots of RvR. If this means queueing, so be it. I don't mind queueing for 15-20 mins if it means an evening of fun RvR. K8 seems a pretty active server for RvR and the balance between Order and Destructi...

Dunno, was thinking destruction ... but seems like they are going to be the zerg realm. Think it varies from server to server. On the one I've been playing on for open beta Order seem to be the zerg realm. Population dynamics will change a lot I think, better to base things on what class you'll enj...

I have to admit that I never understood the will to use Flash on DAoC (and now WAR) website. Flash is cumbersome, is against the "small comp req" that DAoC had and overall, is just less internet friendly unless you want 100% fluff (which is, I think, not the point here). With today's W3C regulation...

Getting a US Account
Where is the best place to buy WAR in order to play on the US servers? I'd prefer not to have to download the client (I have slow broadband) so is there a reliable store that will mail the disks with reasonable postage charges (and better still anywhere that can avoid import duty)? Alternatively is ...

Woohoo, looks like lots of Prydwenites will be playing AoC. I'll be playing. Have the game on pre-order, but won't be doing early access so hopefully no problems getting onto the server once the game arrives in the post. Will be rolling a Bear Shaman or tank of some sort, not decided yet. Look forwa...
