Different people like different things. I fall somewhere between the 2, I prefer PvE but PvP is something which can help fill the time between PvE content getting boring and the next PvE content being released. I don't think it is any coincidence that the longest I have stuck to a MMORPG was DAoC, w...

I think LotRO is now the standard by which all mmorpgs should be measured. It's got the best of everything and so many innovations that I wanted for DAoC, but never happened. I pretty much agree, LOTRO is very nice but I just can't face the grind any longer. DAoC was different because there was fun to be had after the grind with RvR, until they introduced the grind for that too. The only MMORPG I have played that does have a somewhat different feel is Eve-online. There i...

Starcraft 2 is going to net Blizzard millions in profit tbh so you're right, I'm not sure why they don't try new content. I'd be amazed if Blizzard doesn't try something new after Starcraft 2, that money aint all going to profit and it can't all go to World of Warcraft - WoW makes more money for th...

What about payments though? I believe that LOTRO needed a Credit Card with a US address? Although if Game Cards are available that's easily enough got around too.

I found that the most interesting part, if it really is true that we do get a choice about where to play! :)

Reading freddys house, dyvet is mentioned a fair bit...
I very very rarely read freddys since I stopped playing DAoC, just the odd time, like today, when there is a big news story with a link to a thread there :)
